Ireland I ♥ You

Last weekend I went to see the movie Leap Year with the lovely Jayci, and I fell in love with Ireland all over again. They made it absolutely perfect from there never being any outlets, the outlets exploding, to the pub, to the cows in the middle of the road, and last but not least the handsome Irish men. Irish men definitely do not fit their stereotype, they are not fat redheads. They are tall, dark, and handsome. Plus they have a nice accent as a bonus. Maybe my future husband is in Ireland? I guess I better go find him! Who wants to come??

Decisions.

If you know me then you probably know that making a decision has never been something I have been good at. Whether it is something big such as my career choices or something small like which flavor of ice cream I should get. For some reason I just can't do it. A lot of times I ask my mom what to do but she loves to torture me and force me to decide on my own. I wish I could have someone to make all my decisions for me. I think I have too many what ifs going through my head and I think way too hard about it when most of the time it really isn't even necessary. I mean come on cookie dough or mint chocolate chip flavor ice cream is not a life or death decision. I find it easier to make decisions on a whim and put no thought to it, like at a restaurant if I don't know what to get I just wait for the waiter to take our order and I will just hurry and say something. Sometimes I know the right choice but find it hard to bring myself to commit to it so I keep pushing the thought out of my head. Other times there is no right or wrong choice and it's all up to me. I need to stop thinking about things so much and just take a leap of faith. I don't really like new years resolution type of goals becuase they never seem to be very realistic, but I think this is something I want to work on this year.

This doesn't really have anything to do with anything but here is some inspiration for you from one of my favorite bloggers/artist:

Crazy Blog Mommies

At my internship I do a whole lot of blog stalking as part of my job. I have learned a lot about blog mommies in the few weeks I have been there. My supervisor warned me of these things but I didn't believe her until I witnessed it myself.

#1 First off they use a ton of acronyms whenever and wherever they can, most of the time I don't even know what they mean. LH, NP, IDK, LOL, SH... don't ask me!

#2 Second of all I'm almost positive they camp out on their computers all day long. If you send them an email they are sure to send you one right back within minutes and then if you don't email them back immediately they email you (usually more than once) asking if you got their last email until you finally answer.

#3 They love getting things for free and they scheme to find ways to get free things.

#4 They are very defensive toward their blog and can get vicious if you don't give them what they want or do something they don't like.

These are just a few of my favorite things about mommy bloggers. I also run into a lot of crazy/ weird posts that keep me quite entertained. I have brought a few of my favorites to share with you.

These little guys are husband and wife finger puppets sold on Etsy. They are intended to be used for solving marital spats when talking gets too difficult. I can only imagine...

"When things become difficult between you an your husband/wife...
just put these cute finger puppets and let them talk through you!"

Now these little treasures are clip on bangs. I guess if you wanted to add a splash of color to your bangs you can just clip these puppies right on and you're good to go. Great invention.

If you would like the links to either of these products so you can invest in a pair let me know.

Really?

I was driving in my car the other day not really paying attention to the radio and then a commercial caught my attention. I kept hearing it say "that's so gay" so I turned it up and listened and it was an add against people saying things are "gay" because it is offensive. I tried to find the commercial online but instead I found these other lovely videos. Has anyone else seen these? Is it just me or are these commercials gay? Haha Jk. I do think they went about this in the wrong way. Judge for yourself...

Zoobies

For those of you who don't know a Zooby is a BYU student. If you need further information let me know and I will educate you.

I am on campus pretty much every day and I have the privilege of overhearing many wonderful conversations. I thought I would share a few of my favorites.

Last semester when the swine flu was big while in class I heard this conversation from a couple of girls:
"what are you doing after class?

well I am going to go to the library so that I can
use the internet, just so that I can check my facebook and
then I am going to go home and take a nap so that
I don't get swine flu and then I will call you.

Ok call me."

This girl was dead serious. I'm glad you could plan out a time to check your facebook, and a nap will definitely prevent you from getting the swine flu. I also love how the other girl was just serious about it too. No laugh or anything just an ok call me.

Today I was lucky enough to overhear this conversation from two boys:

"So we're not officially dating until we put it as our relationship status on facebook?

No it's not legit until it is on facebook.

So what if I trick her into it and just send her an invite and she accepts?

That might work."

No relationship is complete or official without it being posted for the world to see on FB! All of you who don't have your relationship status declared you may want to rethink if you are really dating your significant other or not.

Last but not least BYU would not be complete without the POLICE BEAT and I would say this post from January 5th is pretty good:

Enjoy

Dreams do Come True

For quite some time now I have been watching this new hotel spring up at Deer Valley. It particularly caught my eye when I saw the tram they built to get to the hotel. When we went to get our ski passes it looked like this:After seeing it that day I really started to dream about riding the thing. I know you wish you could ride it too now that you see it. One day over Christmas break while skiing with my family to my delight my dad skied right up to the hotel and said we were going to look inside. He started to walk in with my uncle and I got a little distracted by some fire that was coming out of the ground at the entrance. I sped up to catch up to them and the first thing I saw was my uncle pushing the button for the tram. YES!! I started telling my sister and everyone with us "YOU GUYS THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!" They all just laughed at me and I don't think anyone even believed me besides Kortni because I have been telling her about doing this forever. While on the ride of course I had to get a picture, thank goodness Kody had his Iphone. Do you see the joy on my face?

While riding on the tram people were thinking we were crazy. One man in particular got on and we informed him that we were just riding the tram and we didn't want to get off. The first thing he said to us was "I told them they shouldn't have made this free". He didn't seem very pleased but my uncle cleared things up by telling him we were white trash. It was everything I had hoped for it to be.
