My Last Days

I know you all have been missing me in the blogging world and have been dying to know what I have been doing with my last days.

I am giving you a bit of everything. Out of order. Cause it's too hard to switch it.
Sunday I had my farewell. It was so great to see all my friends and family come and show their love and support. There were two youth speakers. Keely and a boy who seriously took five minutes all together. Somehow I was able to fill up all the time. Who knew I could talk that long? When I got to church the primary sang me a song and the tears started flowing. Luckily they were able to stop the second before I stood up to speak.

My besties came of course

Me and my momma

even Mark was able to make an appearance

Earlier this year we did a day of service and got free tickets to Disneyland so last minute we decided to take a trip down to California for a few days. It was so much fun!

My brother packed his stuff in this cool treasure chest. Wish I thought of that.

My Mom was very scared of the rides.

We rode the teacups

Karson tried with all his might to pull out the sword in the stone, but to his disappointment he could not.

One of the days my mom had taken Karson in for a nap so I stayed at Disneyland with the rest of the kids but is started to get crowded and they were tired so we headed back to the hotel and stopped at the concierge for some snacks. We were in there for a while when I came to realize what I was doing. I was eating goldfish, drinking an apple juice box, coloring a Sleeping Beauty coloring page, and watching Wall E. No wonder people ask me if I am still in high school. Preschool? The new toy story ride rocks

and we got to end the day with a trip to the beach

I was able to go to the temple with my lovely friend Julianne

For FHE we did a little surfing. Even the parentals got in on the action!

Bambi came for a visit

Hung out with Jeff Hornacek

Got to see this cute girl graduate. Congrats Kort!

Guatemala or bust!!

It looks like a tornado went through my room.
and those two suitcases that have been sitting on my floor are now full.

Well I've got less than 2 days before I report to the MTC and tomorrow I will be a missionary! Is this real? I think so!

The hardest part will be saying goodbye.

Wish me luck.

These are a few of my favorite things

One of my favorite things to do is paint my nails fun, bright colors. I was trying to figure out what color to paint my nails the other day when it donned on me this could be one of the last times I paint my nails. Because of this I came to the conclusion to paint all my nails different colors. Every time I look down I can't help but smile. Oh nail polish how I will miss you...

Elder Roney

My Brother kept telling us he got to play basketball with a couple of all stars while on his mission and then he would laugh. That's all he would tell us and then say I will send a picture soon. Well he finally sent it and here they are.

I hope I get to meet people as cool as this on my mission.

Today I was reading my sisters blog who never updates and found

It's pretty accurate except that she got all her skill from me.

Love you Kort!

Hola

I dedicate this post to Julianne Burr who was been complaining that I haven't updated.

First of all I would like to congratulate her on her call to:
EL SALVADOR SAN SALVADOR EAST MISSION

I am so excited for her and glad we get to be neighbors!
I also can't leave out that she just informed me the only word she knows in Spanish is aloha.
hahaha love you Julianne!

Since the only think I think and talk about these days is my mission here are some things I am really looking forward to:

rainstorms walking through water up to my ankles.

My hair being a fro every single day because of the humidity.

eating crickets for dinner, yum.

and showering with a bucket.

I can't wait!

18 Month Club

Yes. It's true! I have joined the 18 month club! Now I know what many of you are going to say. I didn't know you were going on a mission, I had no idea. Well I guess that just means you are a bad friend. Jk.

After turning my papers in I would check the mail everyday. Now let me tell you this is one of my favorite things to do, it is my job at home and I am the only one who ever gets the mail. I know the mail mans schedule. He comes up and does the other side of the street then goes all the way around and finally arrives on our side usually around 4. The past week has taken especially long usually not arriving until five. Because I was not only anxious to check earlier and it was coming later this caused me several extra bike/golf cart/car/ walking trips up to the mailbox.

After probably my 300th day of disappointment checking the mailbox my Dad said Kenzie the mail is going to come early tomorrow at 3 so I will come home from work early and we can open it at 4. I told my dad there was NO way because I know the mailmans schedule and he hasn't been coming until 5. So my mom and I laughed at him and decided he didn't know what he was talking about.

So after waiting PATIENTLY for two and a half weeks my call finally arrived May 5th. AND my Dad was definitely right. I checked the mailbox at 3 and it was already in there just waiting for me.

My family and friends gathered around and made their guesses.

Me ready to open up my call (no I was not red/hot/sweaty/nervous to open my call at all)
My brother was so kind to count down EVERY minute until I was to open my call. When I asked him to stop talking he then sent it in a text message. Thanks.

Oh hey guys. What? You are waiting for me? Just let me send a text message real quick.

I was trying not to cheat by reading the name first but I will admit I saw a long word that started with a G.

I have been called to serve in the Guatemala Retalhuleu Mission!!! I will be speaking Spanish. I report June 16th and I have a feeling these next six weeks will fly by real quick! I am super excited and I couldn't be happier! I can't wait to serve the people of Guatemala.

Not a single soul ended up guessing right (except for Karter of course who you can see drawing a line from his guess in India to Guatemala. It was like that the whole time right?)

4-year-olds ROCK

At church I am lucky enough to teach the CTR 4 class. I learn so much from these kids every week. Sometimes they can be a challenge but most of the time they are hilarious.

A couple of weeks ago one of the cute boys in my class asked me if I was married. I told him I wasn't. After hearing this the whole class chimed in with suggestions on who I could marry. First with a finger pointed in the air and utter excitement he mentioned Max B (a 4-year-old in my class). I told them that probably would not work out. Then one of the other kids mentioned Max D (the boy who asked the question) so I informed them that they were probably a little young for me. After that they sat there completely stumped. Max D looked around in complete silence for a minute then as serious as could be said well... I guess you will have to marry the table.

Hello future husband...

Dear Future Husband

When you propose to me I would like to be one of the first to know. Please don't tell everyone you are proposing to me that night. I would like it to be a surprise. You can tell my family but please leave it at that. Do not plan a big get together for afterward. We can call and tell people after it happens.

Sincerely,

Kenzie

Now Accepting

Last Friday night we decided we would attend a party at UVU. When we got there we immediately knew it was going to be a quality night. What gave us that hunch you might be asking? Probably the group of college students smoking cigarettes out front. Um are we in Provo anymore? Nope. Orem. We proceeded to go inside but only after getting yelled at by the guy at the door for 10 minutes for not having our I.D.'s.

First things first we headed to the karaeoke room. We discovered the karaeoke room was being shared with bull riding (not sure who thought up that combo but it wasn't really working together) and we saw a girl riding it with her but crack hangin out and everyone laughing. Me next? We think looked over to the corner at the karaeoke just in time to see one of our fellow t-birds (a boy might I add) stick in lady gaga and proceed to do the whole dance in all seriousness. No one was clapping, a few people were laughing, but most were just staring in shock.

We then met some boys in the hall and talked to them for a while only to hear one of the boys lean over the another and not so quietly whisper "I guess they are cute enough". Thanks guys thats so nice of you! Peace.

To our pleasure we then sat down for speed dating. What's your favorite color? Do you like Jello or pudding? What's your major? Where are you from? Can I look you up on facebook? Scuse me sir you have been sitting at my table for three rounds. You are SUPPOSED to switch.

After this night my friend Julianne was kind enough to make me a dating application. Thanks girl! You're the best. It is perfect. You did not leave a thing out. Nope. So boys start sending em in. I'm ready.

Well ladies and gents here it is the moment you have been waiting for:

Hey Laaadies

I have had a recent interest in doing a bike race. I am not an intense cyclist but I just think it would be a fun experience. The only problem is every time I see a race everyone participating looks so hard core and I would probably get last place... Until now. The other day I stumbled across Goldilocks a women only bike race. It is a non-competitive bike race for all ages. Some ladies are riding beach cruisers with their daughters while others are using it as a practice for bigger races.

I'm in.

who wants to do it with me?

please

Procrastination

Procrastination is my sin it brings me endless sorrow. I simply must stop doing it, I think I'll start tomorrow!

Yep, just finished doing five biology assignments.

The worst part about it is that they are all online so I stare at my computer for hours listening to Eric Simon.

Who is Eric Simon you might ask? Do let me share...

and yes he reads every question out loud.

Goodnight.
